About me

Hello there!

I am Dimitra, living for the past *almost* decade in Milan, and travelling in my free time, mostly across Europe. I have extended experience wrangling multinational corporate procedures, endless email threads, and the occasional “urgent” request that arrives three minutes before EOD Friday.

Why Milan?

Milan has become my home, a city where fashion struts, aperitivo flows, and everyone pretends they’re late for something important. It’s equal parts glossy storefronts, chaotic scooters/bikes, and people in perfect outfits complaining about everything while sipping 15€ Aperol Spritz. Milanese people are not really Milanese, they are from everywhere in Italy and partly from the world. They love to hate Milan, but never decide to leave it.

Milan is like that mildly toxic relationship where you complain all the time but can’t walk away. It can be very loud, always under construction, the weather is the worst for Italian standards, it's expensive. But the jobs are here, the food scene is dangerously good, the aperitivos, events, and the energy wraps you up and makes you feel young and energetic. You have the feeling that “I can hop on a train to anywhere”.

Basically, Milan annoys you and you want to move away Monday to Friday, and wins you back again every Saturday morning.
