About me
My name means “life” in Greek and I try to enjoy all the good things life has to offer. I’m quite a bookworm, easily reading 100 books per year, and I also love coffee, music, and traveling. I try to combine these last two and travel abroad to attend concerts by my favorite artists. I have lived in several cities in Europe but I always found myself missing Athens immensely. I have been living in the city center for the last 15 years and I love it more and more every day.
Why Athens?
I grew up in Kallithea (roughly translated as “good view” although the area is mainly flat), a bustling neighborhood near the center of Athens. From our balcony, we could see the sea on our right and Acropolis on our left. Most of my non-Greek friends were reluctant to believe this, but this is real Athens. Wait! When we would look down, we could see little Eastern European shops and the mid-30s refugee residencies. New bars and galleries pop up every other day. THIS is real Athens. A city where graffiti is mixed with ancient ruins, where it is perfectly normal to discover a king’s tomb in a nondescript residential neighborhood.

Matchpoint's interior is tastefully decorated, and the music is lovely but my favorite is sitting outside enjoying my drink and watching the world go by.
