While walking in Old Town it's very easy to miss one small inconspicuous lane, Aida Street, connecting the Lai and Laboratooriumi streets. It's really short - I suppose less than a hundred meters, yet accidental passersby can find one of the most interesting sights in the center here - the open air stage of Old Town Theatre. (NB! I'm trying to avoid spoilers, so the picture for the article is illustrative - it was taken a couple of years ago while the scene tends to change from time to time along with the theater's repertoire).
By the way - although it may seem easy to climb inside, I don't recommend doing it (even if it looks like the perfect background for a selfie), as there is working video surveillance and angry guards are hiding nearby.
Still, this small lane is one of my favorite locations in city center for shooting portrait photos - not only because of the picturesque surroundings it offers but because it's one of the quietest corners in town - for some mysterious reason there are practically no people passing by.
