Harjumägi or Harju hill is a hill in the heart of Tallinn, nearby Freedom Square. Actually when you get to the top of the hill, you get to see a great view, which covers Freedom Square itself and downtown. I like this place because of its location and the atmosphere. It is right in the city centre, but it's still relatively quiet there. During the warm days, it is really nice to have a picnic or just relax and sit on a bench while enjoying the nice view.
Moreover, there is a working fountain for when it is warm and a cosy cafe right next to it. I really like sitting there on the bench under the tree feeling the breeze that comes from the fountain, it is really refreshing. Not to mention the great location of the spot: the Upper Old Town, with its viewing platforms and much more, is just a few minutes away on foot.
