III Draakon is an old-fashioned pub located right inside the Tallinn Town Hall building. Thanks to its exquisite medieval atmosphere (Medieval means - rough wooden furniture, clay mugs and candle light; probably the only electronic devices inside are the cash register and credit card terminal) this spot is surely a must visit for all travelers - even though it can be very crowded during high season. Usually, when I show our Old Town to another friend from abroad, we definitely stop here to taste some soup or pasties and have a pint of beer (or two). Tip: if you are buying some food, don't forget to take some pickles from the wooden cask by the bar (it's free of charge for customers).
Interesting fact - this venue is one of the most famous Tallinn spots among tourists from former Soviet Union countries (especially Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus) after it was featured (as a very special and cheap place) in the popular travel series on Ukrainian TV "Oryol i Reshka". Have to admit that is how I discovered this spot in the first place - a Couchsurfing friend from Saint Petersburg insisted on visiting it during our city walk.
