Nõmme Market isn’t your typical Tallinn market — and that’s what makes it special. Alongside the usual stalls, you’ll find standalone wooden huts, each with its own character.
One of my favorite stops is Suitsuvares ("Smoked Crow") — don’t worry, it’s just a name! I go there for fresh chicken, and I never leave without picking up a loaf of warm, crusty bread from the bakery.
In summer, the market bursts with local berries — sweet raspberries and strawberries. You’ll also find two cosy cafés for pastries and coffee, and a tiny food truck serving fish chips. Trust me, they’re worth a try.
After the market, take a slow walk to the Nõmme Mother statue and fountain — it’s just around the corner and part of another one of my favourite spots.
