Rae Meierei or verbatim translated as Dairy on Town Hall is a restaurant situated in the heart of The Old Town of Tallinn nearby the Town Hall square. It is a really unique place with an industrial concept and European fusion cuisine. They’re the main reasons it is liked by locals and by me personally.

I really like the interior of the restaurant, it is very cosy and modern at the same time. The restaurant has to offer a really big variety of wines and cheeses made from their own milk, which they get from goats that live on the last floor of the building. Yes, the real goats can be met in the restaurant in the city centre. Sometimes the owners let guests pet the goats, a really unique experience for a restaurant, in my mind. Moreover, there is a big vodka museum in Rae Meierei, something you will not find in every restaurant.

When I first visited Rae Meierei, I was really impressed, not really with the food, but with the concept of the place and the things that they can offer, including the goats. Although the food there is great as well.
