Tammsaare park is a really beautiful and relatively small park right in the heart of Tallinn, near the Viru Keskus shopping centre. It is named after a famous Estonian writer, Anton Hansen Tammsaare. The monument in his honor is situated in the middle of the park. Tammsaare park was fully renovated in 2018, so it looks really fresh and modern right now. After the renovation, the park really got "a new life", because a lot more people started visiting it.
I like Tammsaare park, because it is a really nice place to visit when it's both light and dark. During the daytime, it is really nice to sit there on a bench, surrounded by multiple trees and beautiful flowers. When it gets dark, the lights come on and the place starts looking really magical. Moreover, some temporary exhibitions and installations have started to appear in the park after the renovation.
The main schtick of Tammsaare park though are street musicians: there are a lot of them and they can be seen there practically every day.
