In Vake district we have a nice place called ‘Mziuri’ known as a city for children. In fact it’s an awesome park in the city center which was opened more than 30 years ago. It was one Georgian writer’s wish to see a little park for children in the surroundings of the small river Vere. A few years ago, the river became a real monster and destroyed almost every part of the park.
Fortunately, there’s always someone who cares and loves. Some nice people did everything to re-open the park. Plus they opened a cozy café in the area and that’s what I’m going to tell you about.
Café ‘New Mziuri’ is a right place for everyone. I say everyone and I mean it - children and their parents, teenagers, adults or elders. This tiny café is based on modern standards. Its proof of concept would be if it was adapted not only for disabled people, but for blind people too. In fact, surprisingly, they do have a menu with braille.
The menu itself is varioble enough. They offer soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, dessert and many drinks. Plus, they offer a comfortable atmosphere and hundreds of smiles.
What I like most about ‘New Mziuri’ is its activeness and vitality. They often organize live concert and film screenings, educational and entertainment activities, presentations, performances and festivals for children, depending on the season and festivities.
It's almost springtime. So, let’s enjoy it with the smell of the blossoming trees around us in Mziuri.
