Take a Swedish coffee break

""Fika Bakery" in Tel Aviv is probably the Middle East's only Swedish bakery! I love their great coffee & their typical Swedish cakes and cinnamon buns..."

In Sweden, “Fika” means to have a break with a friend, sitting down with a coffee and a cake or a cinnamon bun. Fika Bakery is the only Swedish bakery in Israel, probably in the whole Middle East - opened in 2017 by a Swede, of course.

Besides their great coffee, they also offer very typical Swedish cakes and buns. I really love their Princess Cake: green marzipan outside, inside cream, jam and sponge cake. They even made a rainbow-coloured version for the Gay Parade Day. My boyfriend claims the best one is the “Mazarin” - a Swedish almond tart. Their classic “Kanelbullar”, or cinnamon buns, is always good with a morning coffee!

They have four branches - the one in Tushiya 6, Montefiore Neighbourhood is their first, the others are on Dizzengoff 267, Gordon 36 (this one is also open on Saturdays) and one in Florentin (Derech Salame 43, Florentin 4 Quarter) - the ones on Dizzengoff, Florentin and Gordon also have places to sit. Also in the Coffeeshops Cafelix (Shuk Lewinsky) and HOC you can now buy Fika pastries.
