Although I have my favourite coffee spots in Tel Aviv, I am always on the search for new ones. HOC, House of Coffee, is definitely on the way to making it to my top.
Only opened in November 2019 and not really at a location where everybody would pass by, they've already become quite busy on Fridays. It's run by a lovely couple - the guy, surprisingly, even took my order in German. The interior is very light and minimalistic and connects very much to my Scandinavian design taste.
But the main star here is, of course, the coffee! You can choose between a more fruity or a more bitter version - they have their own house blends. After you've ordered and found a seat in the sun outside, they bring you a beautiful wooden tray with your food and beverages. If you don't feel like sweets, they also have a small menu of salads and other healthy tasty things (the egg sandwich is everyones favourite!). For the non-coffee drinkers, I can recommend the pink lemonade or the fresh coconut!
Good news for everyone in the Old North or Florentin neighbourhood, HOC opened their second and third coffee shop there, at Trumpeldor 6, Hotel Renoma (open 8:00– 18:00) and at HaRabi MiBachrach 3 (open Sun - Thur: 8:00 – 22:00, Fri - Sat: 8:00 – 14:00).
