Root isn’t your usual florist - it’s more of a concept store for flower lovers.
It is located in a side alley in the Carmel Market, right in the centre of the city. The location is perfect for a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the market.
The first thing I noticed when I entered the shop was a really lovely artsy vibe. Everything is designed in good taste and it feels like a design shop full of flowers and plants.
Alongside the plants and flowers, flower pots and gardening tools, I was surprised to find all sorts of pretty things for sale, like lapel pins and stationery, all with the same theme of flower and floral patterns.
Root also functions as a small cafe and bar, with hot and cold drinks, wine and draft beer. It’s a very pleasant place to sip some coffee and chill before going back into the market.
