The Florentin neighborhood is probably the hippest place in the city. Tons of trendy bars and restaurants located in such a small neighborhood makes Florentin a place that you wouldn't want to miss in Tel Aviv.
As mentioned before I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and I am still exploring the great places this area has to offer. A few days ago I finally went to Tometomato - I'd heard so much about the place so I went with high expectations.
Tometomato is located on Washington BLVD in the heart of Florentin. The guy who owns the place is also the chef and he opens at 18:00 every evening and the only thing he sells is his handmade gnocchi and pasta.
So we went there on a cold winter evening and tried gnocchi with chestnut cream. The food was amazing: it was all handmade and took no more than 10 minutes to be served while we watched the chef cooking it.
The food was delicious, it felt like we were in a gourmet restaurant but it was super affordable! I really recommend Tometomato! It is a great place with amazing food and also not that expensive!
