Tel Aviv has plenty of vegan places to eat. Meshek Barzilay is one of the top ones and a personal favourite of mine.
It’s a restaurant, cafe and deli in Tel Aviv’s Neve Tzedek charming neighbourhood.
I sometimes forget that I’m in the city, because the atmosphere is super chilled and so pleasant, as if you’re in the countryside, especially when sitting outside.
Meshek Barzilay is famous for its fully vegan menu and also for using organic produce. The menu is healthy, sophisticated and most importantly – delicious. They serve original salads and plant-based starters that I’ve never seen anywhere else. The main and hot dishes are diverse and cover a range of vegan versions for burgers, pizzas, noodles and even steak. Their pizzas and lasagna are my favourites, because they use cashew “cheese” – can’t go wrong with cashew! Also don’t miss out on the homemade bread and seriously amazing vegan desserts.
Next to the restaurant there’s a boutique deli by the same owners selling vegan products to take home.
