I must admit the reason I went to the Showroom Bakehouse for the first time was the striking pinkish design and the cool neon sign at their store on Rabin Square that just caught me. The best design doesn't necessarily go well together with the tastiest products, as I know from experience. However, the Showroom Bakehouse is definitely an exception to that rule!
When you enter the bakery you feel a bit like Barbie opened a coffee shop - everything is pink inside. And there is even a donut named after “Barbie” - guess in which color.
My favourite one though is “Speedy Gonzalez”: frosting and brown caramel sprinkles outside, a salted caramel cream filling inside. I can definitely devour one in record time.
They have cute little takeaway boxes that have space for 3 donuts. So if you are already there, maybe also give “Samuel L. Jackson” (chocolate cake donut with white glaze & sprinkles, “Bridget Jones” (filled with Boston cream) or “Kim K.” (red velvet filled with cheesecake cream) a chance.
While the one on Rabin Square closed, check out their branches at Pinkas 3, North Tel Aviv or their branch at Beitlehem Street 3, near the Carmel Market/King George Street.
