In my opinion, artists are a country's greatest treasures, and getting to know our local artists, but most importantly giving them the recognition and the voice they deserve, is the best way to support the artist and, at the same time, the country.
Luca has been tattooing the people of Tirana since 2010 and has also showcased his art during this time.
Linocut or linoleum cut is a very interesting type of print that allows the artist to engrave all kinds of images on it and Luca has just recently added his newest collection with pieces based on Albanian heritage and tradition. Here you can check it all out.
In the showroom, you can find and purchase the most beautiful pieces that would make the perfect gift or add something unique to your art collection. While in the showroom, check out the back where the atelier is situated, and you can witness firsthand the tools and maybe, with some luck, the artist working.
I can't tell you how in awe I am of all the pieces, and my favourites of them all are the linocuts of Rozafa and Argyro, the princesses of Shkodra and Gjirokastra. In both, you can feel the history and the sacrifice just by looking at them.
Make sure that on your next trip to Tirana, you save some time for Linocut by Luca because, trust me, you will not be disappointed, and if you are thinking of a new tattoo, now you know where to go.
