This could be the most colorful, lively place in town. Even though the name Nouvelle Vague is supposed to be connected to cinema, it has nothing to do with the bar. As you've already read, I think they make the best cocktails in town and are kinda the cheapest. On evenings Nouvelle is always full, especially the outdoor area. (Too bad for smokers, you're lucky if you can find a table. If not, come sit with the rest of us at the stairs).
It's a really warm place with positive vibes. The music is great, from jazz to indie or alternative. It's not a place to dance even if the music sometimes is too loud. Most clients are 20+. During the day it's a quiet place to have coffee, hang around, work on your laptop or read. Extra points go to Nouvelle Vague as it was also considered as one of the most gay-friendly bars in Tirana. On weekends they usually invite bands to play live or get the greatest DJs to play and create this electro-techno atmosphere, which is pretty great.
