The Velvet Bar, located in the Bllok area of Tirana, has been the go-to place for my friends and me to dance salsa, bachata, and other Latin dances for many years. At the Velvet Bar, you will find a community that welcomes you with open arms, whether you have danced before or not.

If you already belong to the Latin dance community in your hometown, then you know how it works; just go on and dance. If you are going there for the first time, be prepared for people coming up to you and asking you to dance, but at the same time, do not be shy about asking someone to dance with you. The bar is normally open only on Friday and Saturday nights, and during the summer, parties take place outside in the Velvet Bar's beautiful garden.
