You can’t help but feel good when walking into Good Intentions, a woman-owned shop that sells products produced by women-owned micro businesses. Located along one of the east-end’s liveliest streets, the Danforth, this spot is definitely worth a stop for finding something special. It’s rare that I leave this store without having bought something, be it a beautiful ring for myself, a consciously crafted or vintage clothing item, or a unique piece of artwork to give as a gift. Speaking of which, they also offer gift-wrapping services!
Giving small businesses a platform to thrive was the goal of the gals who opened this shop and they’ve succeeded! A sales model where vendors receive one hundred percent of their sales, in return for a flat membership or pop-up fee, means that businesses can make more than they would otherwise.
They provide a boutique shopping experience six days a week (they’re closed on Mondays) with featured businesses rotating on occasion, which means you can always find interesting new brands and items to discover!
