Ala Washington DC – Bottomless Turkish brunch

restaurants
Restaurants
""Ala" is a beloved Turkish restaurant in Washington DC. Recently, they started offering bottomless brunch for great value! Also try the drinks..."

Ankara, a beloved Turkish-inspired restaurant in Dupont Circle, was rebranded to ala in March 2021. The same restaurant team the locals love now offers a bottomless brunch filled will delicious small plates and beautiful cocktails.

The bottomless brunch at ala is a great value at $29 for food and $39 to include drinks. And the drink selection is incredible! You'll find mimosas and Bloody Marys plus champagne, draft beer, and house wines. Cocktails with whiskey, tequila, gin, or rum rotate seasonally so ask your server for a recommendation. Coffee and Turkish teas are also included.

The menu draws inspiration from The Levant which includes the countries: Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus, Jordan, Isreal, and Palestine. The name ala comes from Turkish expression meaning “a mix of all the colors." Ala welcomes everyone to their tables!

My favorite brunch dishes at ala are the grilled olives, the manakish (fried feta cheese), and the flatbread. Plus, don't miss the pistachio baklava which will be a little different if you're used to Greek-style baklava with walnuts.

Ala offers both indoor and covered seating. It is also a great choice for dinner or an afternoon cocktail.

Tryst – Coffeehouse, bar, lounge

"Tryst" bills itself as Washington DC's living room. On a cold morning, I feel lucky to snag a couch by the gas fire, sink in & order a truly fine coffee.

The Coupe – Late night breakfast

"The Coupe": one of my favorite places to grab a drink after work in Washington DC. What sets it apart is their all-day (read: late-night!) breakfast menu.

GoodWood – For a vintage-chic home

"GoodWood" in Washington DC looks like a general store, but it holds many vintage treasures. It's like an antique store that doesn't take itself too seriously.
