Meridian Hill Park Washington DC – Beautiful park

Relaxing
""Meridian Hill Park" in Washington DC is a little piece of green space in the center of the city. The fountain and the sound of water are so relaxing..."

Meridian Hill Park feels like a little piece of green heaven right in the center of the city. The park sits right between bustling Adams Morgan and 14th Street. Because of its location, it provides the perfect escape from the busy streets without requiring much of an excursion off the beaten path. The architecture provides a great backdrop for Instagrams, especially its most recognizable feature - the cascading fountain in the middle. Plus, the water sounds soothing while reading or relaxing.

Every Sunday afternoon, you can enjoy drum players in the park. The group varies in size week to week and sometimes they hang out in different spots around the park. Even though they are somewhat loud drums, there is something about rhythm in a park that makes me feel zen. It’s the perfect activity that both relaxes and energizes me for the work week ahead.

The park is free to the public and open during daylight hours year round.
