Well, we all know the score (disclaimer: by “all” I mean people who are no longer in their early 20s): we still like the idea of going out with friends, having a few drinks and a chinwag in a bar first, and hot-stepping it on the club dance floor later on. However more often than not, after a busy week at work we’re not sure we’ll last long enough for the latter.

This is where Kauz comes in: here we don’t have to decide. It opens at 21:00 already, and with free entry before 23:00, plenty of booths and a great drink selection, it draws people in from early on. Expect lots of home-grown DJ talent behind the turntables; this is an excellent place to check out some of Zurich’s finest tune spinners.

The Kauz punters are a little less in-your-face than elsewhere about wanting to have a good time, but this doesn’t mean things don’t get raucous here. Since we’ve started early, we can finish our clubbing adventure at a decent time and go home for some much-needed beauty sleep. Or we decide, spur of the moment, to make a night out of it. Either way, Kauz is sure to deliver.
