Sport Bar Zurich – No sports please, I'm a barfly

To put it mildly, Sport Bar is a bit of a misnomer. For a start, they don't show sports on telly (what's more, they haven't got one), there's not a WAG in sight, and most people here probably wouldn't recognise the local team if it walked in juggling footballs.

This isn't to say that Sport Bar doesn't have a lot going for it – quite the opposite. After all, it has been consistently popular for more than ten years, which isn't half bad for a café/bar hybrid in an area with lots of competition. Sitting at one of the handful of tables outside Sport Bar is a Zurich favourite on sunny weekends so prepare to fight to secure your spot.

The guys at Sport Bar take great pride in their coffee, which is so strong it will make your toes curl. They have a great selection of magazines and newspapers, an interesting array of spirits and the music playing in the background is spot-on. Whether it's a cosy chat with friends during the day or pre-clubbing drinks at the weekend that you're after: Sport Bar offers an irresistible mix come rain or shine.
