The “penniless student point of view blog” strikes again! And talks once more of a great place for a cheap and cheeky lunch! Because, when you and your friends have time to catch up only between one lesson and the next, you must find as much alternatives as possible just a few steps away from the university. So here we are!

Gangnam is a little and pleasant place to have a great cup of Korean noodles, or some tasty meat that you can cook right at your table with an (unknown to Italy) technology that embeds the grill in the table, the best thing since sliced bread if you ask me!

When you sit at your table the waiters bring you a tray full of free samples all to be tasted and discovered. I loved the kimchi noodles, even if the soup was really spicy (and I’m the classic Italian with a love/hate relationship with spicy food). The furnishing is pretty basic, but I guess it follows the style of a typical Seoul restaurant that doesn’t have to show off its Korean-ness so, fair enough!

The staff is all Korean, so more than prepared to rescue you when you’re looking at the menu blankly. Be aware that you have to master your chopstick technique, because the iron cutlery surely adds a level of difficulty, it’s not the light wooden things you use to eat sushi!

So, great place for lunch and dinner as well, generous portions and reasonable prices!
