What I like most about Triumph Gallery is the contrast it provides to the surroundings. Located mere minutes from The Red Square and The Kremlin, it gives you a nice break from all that splendor and glory.
After walking around the historic part of the city, it’s really refreshing to take a dive into Triumph Gallery, switching from huge old buildings to this small, two-floor space filled with contemporary art. Triumph usually has some nice art on display: they host both Russian and foreign artists, and support a vibrant arts community. The gallery is also a great place to sit back and relax admiring pictures, photos, or installations.
To get to the gallery, you’ll need to take a turn from the street and into the passage (don’t be put off by the police cars — the police station is nearby). Entrance is free, so there’s really nothing to stop you from visiting.
