I’ve always been into Israeli cuisine. For many people, it usually equals hummus and falafel. And those two things have been quite popular some years ago, so many places where they serve it opened. Israeli cuisine started becoming extremely popular.
Finally, “Dizengof99” café opened near “Taganskaya” metro station. The title refers to the legendary movie by Avi Nesher, an indisputable Israeli classic telling the story of friends who lived in the Dizengoff Street in Tel-Aviv, a major one.
I discovered it while looking for another good place to eat hummus, and for me, it was a real gem, as they had a great choice for Israeli food lovers like me. Shakshuka which resembles an omelet, Israeli salad, soups... all those dishes are really amazing there. But my personal favorite is the Israeli breakfast, a grand set of components which include eggs, bread, hummus, tuna, cream cheese, among others. By the way, sometimes they change up their menu a little bit. Also, if you like, they serve it with a glass of cider or Mimosa cocktail, which goes perfectly with all that food. And it's even cooler to share it with a friend, because Israeli breakfast for two comes with some additional ingredients.
Some time ago, “Dizengof99” changed location. Now it's opened on Pokrovsky Boulevard, one of the major ones in central Moscow. It's spacious, the staff is very friendly and polite, so I like going there. By the way, they serve Israeli breakfast all day long there.
