Vitabergsparken is the hillside park of SoFo beloved by the citizens, manifested by a collective pilgrimage here each summer. This is where the locals gather outdoors on warm evenings for all social or cultural needs.
Either you bring a pack of beers to the hillside beneath the Sofia church to socialize and linger as late as the temperature and bladder allows. Or you just go for a walk in the greenery and look at the preserved workmen's dwellings from the late 1800s. If you're up for something more cultural though, you head for the free outdoor theatre that is taking place now and then!
The ideal ending of your visit is to make a pit stop at the parks outdoor bar called "Kajsas i parken", or head down to the locals favorite square Nytorget located right below the park.
Vitabergsparken is indeed a park with a lot of variation!
