Demi Mat & Bar is a cozy local restaurant serving medium-sized dishes and good snacks. The restaurant is small and has a warm atmosphere. This tiny restaurant has a small bar area with high community tables and seating by the windows and further down are a few regular tables.
When it comes to the food, Demi serves a variety of food items and the menu changes regularly. Some dishes stay on as the Sobrasada, a hot and spicy Spanish sausage that I have to eat almost every time I visit. I also like the cold cut platter with good quality cuts and cheeses. The wine list is very good and the knowledge from the staff (aka the owner) is excellent. If you prefer a certain style of wine, you will probably get it. I love going here in the autumn and winter as you step down into a semi-basement that also makes it more cozy and snug. The candles warm up the restaurant while it is raining and snowing outside. There is a tiny open kitchen, and it is fun interacting with the cook as well. If you are just a bit peckish, drop by for some nice wine or beer and snack away on some savoury dishes.
