A mushroom restaurant?!
Cafe Zurich is a bar, brunch spot, and restaurant all combined in one. And it's nice in the summertime and wintertime! But that is not what is special about this place. Cafe Zurich has the strangest shape: like a mushroom!
Inside everything is round, in the center there is a lounge bench, surrounding a fireplace. Perfect for cozy winter nights with a drink and a snack.
In the summertime, you can enjoy their terrace, which is big and lies on a square called Mercatorplein. On the square there are fountains where children often play in while their parents enjoy a drink on the terrace. And another fun feature: the terrace has swings! Extra fun.
It is very rare in Amsterdam to find a spot that is nice all year round. Zurich is the kind of place I always go to because I know there is a guarantee for a good time, whatever weather may come my way!
For dinner, I recommend making a reservation, as it gets quite busy.
