This is one of the more local cinemas in Antwerp. On the one hand you have bigger brands like UGC or Kinepolis, which are for sure worth it but this one, together with Cinema Lumière Antwerpen (same owners), have more specific indie movies in combination with bigger hits. It's more cultural, and you are in the old city centre.
There is a terrace outside in the summer, but now that summer is over, the Bar Kino is open again inside. You can also have breakfast together with a movie afterwards. The exact dates are on the website.
I myself have been there to watch Ich Bin Dein Mensch, and it was a lovely experience. Expect local European movies to be shown here at all times. If you don't have any plans for the evening or it's raining, I suggest picking a movie and going to a café (pub) afterwards to talk about the movie and end up in deep talks (that's what happened to me).

A classic is the pizza Calabrese with spicy salami, paprika, tomato, and mozzarella. Ask for some grilled onions on top to make it even tastier (you can thank me later).
