About me
My friends call me Era. That's Albanian for "Wind". And as it turned out, I like wandering and wondering in space and time. Exploring is one of the values I hold dear, starting from a young age. I am a curious young woman with various interests and always out to lessen my hunger for the world.
This hunger translates in my interest for arts, technology, literature, history, etc. I am always looking for novelty experiences, trying to expand beyond the mundane. But at the same time, I appreciate stories, history and familiarity.
I haven't had the chance to travel as much as I would like (nowhere near enough). But I have been living in Belgium for 10 years now and I have traveled as much as I could.
I work for a company that supports entrepreneurs and am very interested in marketing, technology and all things internet. Always up to discuss societal issues and contemplate the future.
Why Antwerp?
I moved to Antwerp about 5 years ago and I am still discovering the city like a solid and stoic story. There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to live here. And I have with no regrets so far :).
I love novelty but also character and story. That's what I always look for in places that I discover. Every time I travel, I look for authenticity. And that's what I would want to share with people visiting my city.
I lived in Tirana (17 years) and Barcelona (6 months) and I have come to realize that cities have their own voice, personality, vibe and life. It’s difficult to find reasons why you feel drawn to something and be sure it’s not you making up reasons for a gut feeling that you probably couldn’t explain anyway.
So while I am honest to myself about that, I ask you to join my journey inside Antwerp on a quest to see the beauty of this town.
