Il Carpaccio is situated just on the outskirts of Antwerp, located on a big road in a residential area. With flourishing hotels and neighborhoods close by, this Italian restaurant has what it takes to attract not only local visitors: some of the best pizza around, great fish, pasta, and meat options, and a never boring suggestions menu.
This Italian show is run by always present Dario who keeps the tempo going and makes sure everything is served at a presto pace. The restaurant is cozy and small, the menu is large and appealing. Most people come here for deliciously crunchy pizzas. A classic is the pizza Calabrese with spicy salami, paprika, tomato, and mozzarella. Ask for some grilled onions on top to make it even tastier (you can thank me later). My favorite is the truffle pizza.
If you are in a - eat fewer carbs mode -, go for the juicy beef tagliatta served with rocket salad and parmesan cheese. For a more seaside experience take the sea bass with grilled vegetables. If you come in hungry, I'd suggest taking the Aperitivo platter as a starter and ordering some prosecco to go with it of course. It's hard to squeeze in a dessert after a copious pasta or pizza meal, but the tiramisu is always tasty and homemade and the tartufo screams intense chocolate flavor but is not too heavy if you share it.
