Kornél is one of my favorite spots in Berchem. This café fits perfectly into Berchem's cosiness and charm and its atmosphere provides me with both a homely feeling and an inspiring working place including free Wi-Fi. I love coming here mainly because it's a place where I am able to write or brainstorm about ideas with friends or colleagues. It has an atelier space separate from the coffee bar, where you can work and literally spread your ideas all over the space. You can also rent the atelier out on days the café is closed or after working hours, in case you are in need of space for meetings, club activities or your personal pop-upshot. You only need to call or send an e-mail kornelkoffie@gmail.com
The coffee bar is just as versatile in its use as it is in its beverages. On sunny as well as cloudy days I like to sit on the cosy terrace outside and enjoy Bernard, one of my favorite cappuccinos made with pure chocolate and nutmeg. Because it's also an place for exhibitions, I actually get inspired when I find myself staring at the wall for too long. This is definitely an advantage over working at home.
