Antwerp isn't short of some very original cocktail bars, but Dogma is without a doubt my favorite. The cozy, candle-lit atmosphere makes this place very welcoming and the whole scenery is quite delightful with its lounge-y twenties feeling. The decor is a mix between retro, vintage and slightly hipster-ish, with leather seats and wooden details. The moment you walk in, along with a friendly greeting and the absinthe flavored water, you’ll be stepping into an experience that will indulge all your senses.
Didier opened this bar around 2 years ago. He’s not only a well-known cyclist, but a praised passionate cocktail artist. His crafty cocktail lounge can deservedly be called different from your classic cocktail bar. In fact the cocktails here are ‘Dogmatic’, as in incontrovertibly exquisite! Not only will you be delighted by some excellent preparations, but you’ll also discover mixtures you won’t easily find anywhere else. The menu is authentically hand-written in beautiful little Collier notebooks, along with some witty descriptions and cute doodles.
Of course, the skillful bartenders will prepare the traditional cocktails for you too, but at Dogma you have the chance to go on an exclusive cocktail adventure you won’t easily forget. The presentation of the cocktails here is, like everything else, done in style and feels like a little performance. Some of the cocktails are served in smoky teapots or beehives and the enthusiastic bartenders gladly answer all your questions. Even though it's hidden, Dogma materialises as a must-go spot in all its glory.

A classic is the pizza Calabrese with spicy salami, paprika, tomato, and mozzarella. Ask for some grilled onions on top to make it even tastier (you can thank me later).
