Witzle-Poetzli was founded in 1985 and is up until this day probably the favorite café of Antwerp's artistic scene. I really like to come here at any time of day because of its unique atmosphere, tasteful music choice and tasty pastry and drinks. The decor is really authentic and it's easy to get to know people and get in touch with different topics.
The café is situated right behind Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal in the center of the city and is mostly visited by artists, art academy students, writers and musicians. Obviously you can also come to visit even if you don't have an artistic side in you ;-) They are known for their tasty hot chocolate and many coasters in honor of Witzli-Poetzli's 30th Anniversary in 2015, which are free to collect and might inspire you to create an artwork yourself.
In summer, you can enjoy their terrace in the shadow of the cathedral. In winter it's very enjoyable to have some chess matches paired with one or two pintjes.
"Think Twice" is one of my favorite vintage stores in Antwerp. I love that it gives me the feeling of finding a real treasure between all the items...
