Paper Tiger Athens

While visiting downtown Athens, you should go check out the old stock exchange building; it is monumental! I recommend combining it with a drink at the Paper Tiger bar, which is located exactly across the building. To find it, you go through the large corridors at Sofokleous 7, which ends up at a beautiful small square garden. 

The feeling of the space is so unique as it combines a green chilled-out zone with an industrial atmosphere due to the enormous building that hugs the outdoor space. The bar is right above the garden, just 4-5 steps above ground, making it all feel connected. The garden is equipped with metal tables, wooden benches and huge stone pots with enormous plants, assembling a truly relaxed ambiance. During the summertime, it opens all its windows and a wonderful flow is created between the indoors and outdoors. 

Either in or out, the location makes you feel secluded from the buzz of the city while being in the centre of it all. They also invite local artists to play different genres of music from time to time! You will find great quality cocktails and meet youthful people with great vibes. The inside of the bar is quite small but has allowed space for some pieces of art to be exhibited by the friends of the owners of the bar. Another plus is that the guys that work there really can put a smile on your face!
