SNFCC – Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center – is the metropolitan park of Athens, made by famous architect Renzo Piano. It is something every cosmopolitan city must have: a big beautiful park where concerts and cultural events can take place but also a park where people can spend their time enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine overlooking the canal.

Located in the south part of the city, at the end of Syggrou Avenue close to the coastline and only 15 minutes drive from the center, it’s the ideal place if you want a break from the city center. There are also shuttle buses that can take you there for free, starting from Syntagma Sq.

The National Opera and National Library are placed here as well. SNFCC is also friendly for families with kids, as there are amazing playgrounds inside the park and also there is space for them to run, play football, and dance! At SNFCC you can have yoga, pilates, and tai chi classes for free, but you have to book a place in advance! Enjoy also its amazing fountains!

PS: Please note that there are two entrances. One is at Evripidou Street next to the pin on the map, where its official address is.
