Thessaloi Athens

Thessaloi is one of my favorite meze places in Athens for a beautiful day or a night that starts with dinner. A cosy backyard (I love it!), a few tables outside on the street, but also a big space inside, Thessaloi is located behind a church in the neighborhood of Metaxourgheio.

Here, you can find first of all good raki & tsipouro, two traditional Greek drinks that are usually consumed with meze - small bites. The options are numerous, from homemade & organic tsipouro and raki to very good bottled options. There is quite an interesting variety of food and meze to go with your drinks, with many choices for vegetarians as well, traditional Greek ingredients with a twist, fresh salads and more.

Thessaloi often hosts music nights, with mostly Greek musicians, that can give your night at Thessaloi a very different vibe! Try it for a really local experience!
