To perivolaki Athens – Cooperative and style

This is the place where you will find me every Thursday evening. Me and a group of friends visit this place every Thursday late at night quite sweaty and tired. Why go out sweaty you would ask... well, every Thursday we play football at a court nearby so we have chosen Perivolaki as the only "after-football-beer-spot". Sometimes we are so tired that we drink only one beer. Most of the times though we get carried away by the music, the people and the good snacks and stay a little longer that we "ought" to.

The place is quite new. It was created by a group of friends that due to circumstances became unemployed. They decided to create a place where no bosses would exist. Everyone is an equal owner of Perivolaki, a cooperativa so to say. The result? A really beautiful small place where you can drink and eat very well! It is situated on a square so in the summer you can also sit outside and breathe the air of Kato Petralona (the area in which is situated).
