Entering Zinglee is like taking a time machine and traveling back to the ’30s, as the classy decoration of the place is inspired by that period. But allow me say that the service, the drinks and the food have been designed to cover the high quality standard we are asking for nowadays.
The music at Zinglee is always great: from Duke Ellington to Diana Krall, you will mainly hear jazz in an appropriate volume that will allow you to have a conversation, read or write. Most Sundays they organize live shows so you can enjoy some of the best local jazz artists.
During the morning its quite calm, so you can enjoy the place while eating the marvellous Benedict eggs they prepare. As it’s in the heart of Kolonaki, it’s quite busy during the afternoon and the evening at dinner time. A reservation may recommended. For the location you might think it may be more expensive than any other place but, truth be told, the prices are quite fair.
I cannot finish this article without mentioning how cool the people that work there are and how good their tiramisu is. I consider it the second best one in Athens. The first one, obviously, is the one I prepare :-).
