It took one influencer's post for me to want to visit Daraj, one simple video showcasing the simple outdoor seating and the minimalist but joyful design. And the video did not fail me. Daraj is a new coffee shop tucked away in the narrow streets of Mar Mikhael.
With a very simple look and feel, Daraj has become a favorite spot for many, as it's a quiet place that offers a great selection of coffee, tea, wine and has a delicious-looking food menu. Unfortunately, during my visit, I did not order any food, but I can say with certain I'll be back to try their avocado eggs and one of the bowls — those stood out to me the most from the menu, aside from the selection of dips.
The space inside is a little tight, as the coffee bar is a bit big, but with the weather being sunny most days, you'll want to sit outside anyway. They have a front garden and a hidden garden in the back that you can access near the coffee bar. It's a dog-friendly place, so expect to see some furry friends!
They also sell some goodies like peanut butter and other jarred items. The place is great for an afternoon coffee or drink.

Very charming in a very simple manner - nothing too extravagant, yet very cozy. I love that Grand Meshmosh is never too loud or too crowded, but just perfect.
