If you’re ever in Beirut, this place is a must! Entering Li Beirut felt like time traveling back to the city's golden days; the music vibes and small details of the place will take you on a mindful trip to old Beirut. This is one of my go-to's with friends on the weekend, but in my opinion, if you want to visit this place, you should have an appreciation for old authentic Arabic music or be someone with an old soul - which is why I love it so much.
The place is dimly lit with neon lights as well as vinyl, posters and pictures of old Beirut hanging all around. They serve great drinks, promoting local alcohol brands. The music playing is always amazingly selected and on point, fitting the ambiance and vibe with anything from traditional/oldies music such as “Fairuz”, “Umm Kulthum” and “Ziad Rahbani”, to emerging artists such as “Faraj Suleiman.”
This place Is cozy, not luxurious but this is what makes it special. Head there, order some drinks/Lebanese food while enjoying the music and ambiance.
