About me
Passionate about writing, technology and aesthetics. Born and raised in Berlin where my family, friends and heart are - or come and visit ever so often.
Why Berlin
An original Berliner, I am forever spoilt by my city: Cheap street food, 24h “Späti” convenience stores and a greyness that could not be greater anywhere else. But seriously: Berlin and Berliners are often seen in the dim light of nightlife only, when this historical but young city with its ambiguous aesthetics has so much more to offer. The same way I appreciate personal favorites in the places I travel, I never get tired of giving recommendations for my cultural mekka Berlin: independent cinema, contemporary art and new conceptual spaces are my specialities.
"Maxim Gorki Theater" in Berlin is one of a kind. It's the smallest one but its plays are always thoughtful and I love eating leisurely at the cafeteria...

"PalaisPopulaire" in Berlin hosts the art collection of Deutsche Bank, often in cooperation with intern. museums. Check out the "I like Mondays" tours.

"Neuzwei Vintage Store" is a very refreshing escape from ordinary second-hand vintage shops in Berlin-Neukölln. It's like a small, unobtrusive boutique...
by
"Bikini Berlin" is not your typical mall. Looking over the Zoo and the memorial church, with just some carefully chosen shops, it's in the right direction.
by
"Shakespeare and Sons Bookstore" in Berlin is one of my favorites for Sunday morning. I love their jazz music and Jewish pastries, such as the Rugelach...

"Arminiusmarkthalle" in Berlin's Moabit district has some real Urberlin vibes! This international food market is a great place to escape the mass tourism.
