Goldhahn und Sampson is a book shop and grocery and kitchen supplies store. They have genuine craft products and hold personal relationship with their manufacturers.
But they also offer cooking classes and wine tasting. It's a heaven for every gourmet.
Whenever we are invited to a meal or have to give a gift this is our first choice when searching for a cook book, a good bottle of wine, that strange liquor you wouldn't find in a supermarket, a Kombucha bottle, hazelnuts from Papa dei Boschi, olive oil from Ravidà, Sappelbrot, SoLuna-Dinkelseelen, knives, a good cake or some good coffee.
A while ago we were invited to a birthday party of a friend that lives in Ireland but wanted to celebrate it in Berlin. She invited friends from Barcelona, Romania and Czech Republic to come for a party weekend. Since she flew only for the weekend, we had the dilemma of what to give her as a present that wouldn't be a problem for her to take back home.So we went to Goldhahn und Sampson and bought her an assortment of sweets, including Venchi Italian chocolates, black bee honey and bio candies from Mirtillo, the traditional Majani and caffarel chocolates from Italy and a Belgian Dolfin carre noir collection. That way she would only have problems fitting in her clothes again - but none with her luggage!
