Ever find yourself longing for that perfect neon pink ’80s ski jacket? Or were you perhaps a cowboy in a past life, and finally feel that it’s time to buy yourself the perfect leather fringe jacket and set of spurs? Luckily, The Garment District is here to fulfill all of your out-of-this-world fashion fantasies. This two-story “Alternative Department Store” is a retailer of funky thrift clothes and accessories from all different eras.
You never know quite what you’ll find when you enter The Garment District, but you always come out with something great. I tend to venture over there whenever the weather cools down and I find myself in need of some “new” denim or some vintage sweaters, and I always walk out with armfuls of goodies and gifts for my more fashion-forward friends and family. The Garment District is also a great place to add to your collection of Ugly Christmas Sweaters, or find the perfect Halloween costume. Pro-Tip: if you’re costume-shopping, go well before Halloween, as the 1st floor Costume Section tends to be flooded with shoppers in the last few weeks of October!
