This place drew us like a magnet from the first time we laid our eyes on it. We came for a burger place that's just on the other side of the street but the cab left us facing "Pastrami and more". I was pretty skeptical looking at the menu since I never thought I'd have a chance at trying a New York deli-style pastrami sandwich in my own country.
Someone from the staff (most likely one of the owners) told us they actually got the idea from their stay in Canada and figured that this needs to get to Romania - Thank you for that! The place is not big but it's super clean, tastefully designed, and well compartmentalized. Just right to fit enough people considering that the service is super fast and you'll most likely eat the food as fast since everything is mind-boggling tasty.
Every sandwich on the menu comes with a pickle so you just have to order some fries for a full menu (my go-to is the pastrami poutine version). Also, something you will not find in any other restaurant is a sandwich with "mici" (a Romanian classical dish from minced meat on the grill ) and truffle sauce - the best of both worlds!
Even if it's just for the sourdough bread that they have for all the sandwiches, it's gonna be worth your while.
The "Anglican church" is a landmark in Bucharest I love visiting. Many people know about it but not so many go. It is a small church.
