LA style meets Bucharest
Some time ago I read "Hamburger America" and started dreaming of traveling/eating my way through a few (let’s be honest all of them) places so vividly illustrated in there.
We haven’t made it to the US, but luckily, we found an LA-style smashed burger right here in Bucharest to teleport us there - through both time and space. A corner shop you can find by just following the fresh sizzling beef smell and the hip-hop blasting from their speakers (no worries, it’s not that loud, it is just loud enough to remember “the good old days”).
With just a couple of burgers on their menu, everything’s a sure hit. Our favorites are Eggs & Bakey, Triple Smashed Angus and the loaded fries, and they mean it when they say loaded! What we can tell is we appreciate that each burger has its own distinct flavor… Oh and the bacon… the bacon is just perfect.
Good burgers, good fries, good music, and now with an amazing, hidden from the traffic backdoor terrace? Now that is a true gem
In 2024 they won the 3rd Best Burger in Romania award with - burduf burger. You might wanna try that
