This little cafe and bookstore is located in one of the older building complexes in Zamalek district. Despite not being very spacious, the bookstore is great for a quiet study/work session.
This is the cafe & bookstore where I sit to finish some schoolwork alone or with friends, we don't have to get up and interrupt our session because we can order food and drinks here (I strongly recommend the cherry cola). In addition to that, there's a library of all kinds of books - mainly mysticism and spirituality but not exclusively so - where you can pick any book you like and do a little bit of reading and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Not looking for some quiet time? Sufi hosts many events, including concerts, workshops, meditation sessions and poetry. It's the perfect place for a sufi chant night or a folk music concert, but if you're not up for it, just make sure to check their event calendar in advance so you're quiet time is not interrupted.
