Known to fans as the “king of burgers”, this infamous rock ‘n’ roll pub offers a punch of flavor with every mega burger served. There is nowhere better to get a quality burger in the city than Kuma’s Corner. The restaurant itself does not lack character either – with band posters and grungy rock décor lining the restaurant walls, the powerful punch of tastes and flavors from the menu are made even more intense. With outrageously-sized patties and creative burger add-ons, it’s no wonder no other place can compare.
This spunky burger joint offers an array of specialty appetizers and uniquely-dressed burgers - my favorites include the Goatsnake Burger with goat cheese, poblano corn relish, Cholula lemon vinaigrette and buttermilk breaded frizzled red onions and the Lair of the Minotaur Burger, which features caramelized onion, pancetta, brie and bourbon poached pear. The best part is when you take away all of the mile high, off-the-track toppings and you’re left with a juicy, top quality patty, which is hard to find at specialty burger joints.
Aside from their famous burgers, Kuma’s Corner is known to serve the best mac ‘n’ cheese in the city. When I have no shame in being rolled home, I order a build-your-own mac & cheese as an appetizer, with no regrets.
