Bungalow by Middle Brown is a Logan Square brewpub serving up homemade pizzas, and they are also known on Chicago's map for being the city's first natural winery. The oblong restaurant is complete with both outdoor patio seating and an industrial inside, where you can see the wine barrels themselves.
Most days of the week, customers can try a variety of fluffy pizzas with seasonal specials, such as potato and leek pizza. On Tuesdays, they serve their tavern-style pizza, which is cracker-thin and bite-sized. Whenever I go, I am stunned by their appetizers, including "the big salad," which includes seasonal vegetables topped with plenty of pepper and lightly shredded cheese.
In a city like Chicago, it can be difficult for pizza restaurants to stand out, but run by fermentation experts, you will not be disappointed by Bungalow by Middle Brow's rotational wines, beers, and 'za. Everything about this spot feels fresh, and you can tell their homemade food is crafted with exceptional thought and care put into the ingredient combinations.
